[MEET THE EXPERT]
The third [MEET THE EXPERT] event of the year will take place September 14/15 in Solothurn on the topic
Medical Manufacturing.
The two-day seminar is a platform for exchange of information for experts in the field of medical manufacturing. Producers and distributors talk about framework conditions entailed by new regulatory requirements and the consequences for the collaboration with external suppliers. The examples from day-to-day practice illustrate how supplying companies successfully cope with continuously stricter requirements in the field of medical technology and how they turn them into opportunities.

Medical Cluster Award 2010
For the first time three outstanding degree papers in the field of medical technology were honoured with a Medical Cluster Award.
The graduation ceremony at the Bern University of Applied Sciences was the start of this years award ceremony. Markus Büttler received the Medical Cluster Award for the best master thesis in medical technology management.
Two more awards were given on the occasion of the Biomedical Engineering Day of the University of Bern. Andreas Wüthrich and Dr. Flurin Pfiffner were awarded for their master thesis and doctoral thesis respectively.

- Validieren & Qualifizieren von Klinikinformationssystemen
Starting November 19, 2010:
- Design, Ergonomie und Schulung von Medizintechnik-Produkten
Starting January 21, 2011:
- Design, Ergonomie und Schulung von Softwareprodukten in der Medizin
The courses take place at the Bern University of Applied Sciences on Friday afternoons and on several Saturdays.
